thank you so much Dearest Darlene! I will miss you today as my knee is not for walking right now.
Dave and I will have our own service here and we take communion right here at home as I told you before when we have to miss a lot. Today will be a perfect day for that.
Strange thing…..I had rented the movie St. Peter a while back to watch with family and never got to it while they were here. So we decided to watch if for the Easter W/e on Sat afternoon. It was 3 hours long and so worth every minute it. It was jusst perfect for it included the surroundings of Peter during the Cruxifixion and Resurrection times. And it ended, the Tv automatically popped back on and for some reason it was on EWTN the Catholic channel and so movie ended with Peter dying in Rome then the TV showed Rome celebrating Easter…………..hmmmmmmmmm

Just stopping by to say hope everyone has a wonderful day.
It has been quiet here. Arlene, am attending a meeting at Rose Mary’s next Saturday night (18).

Need Prayers for a Friend:
Praise the Lord for Dave’s healing and strength for Bali. Please join me in fervent prayers for my dear friend Gail, a faithful Prayer Warrior for all and for the world. Gail has a reoccurance of ovarian cancer which has metastasized. Gail is almost 73 and is the sole care provider for her disabled adult son Jay Jay, recently diagnosed with MRSA due to his numerous hospitalizations (unfortunately, Gail’s great-grandaughter Emma–born with many physical disabilities–has also contracted the MRSA infection from her many, many, many and continuous hospitalizations during her short life). Please grant Gail time on this earth to heal physically, to continue her ministry, and to care for her loved ones.

I so appreciate your comments dear friends as we all meander through the pathways of life……
we never know what lies ahead.
Today on our way to the appointments we had, I was just wondering what people do that don’t have Jesus. I was praying quietly in the car as we headed into town and God seemed to saying over and over and over to me…….TRUST, TRUST, TRUST.
It reminded me of Abraham when he had to set out to Ur and knew not where or how the journey would be.
Then we had a little scrape in traffic……hubby scraped another car…….our side mirror was pulled off. We were trying to avoid another wreck and I think they did take that into consideration as they charged him but with 2 pts off his license rather than 4. PTL. He has NEVER had points off.
He is such a safe driver.
I had my knee drained as it swelled back up from the fall. That was to hold me over till the 30th when I see the Ortho knee specialist.
Just want to get this house sold and get a house in FL and settle back down to live……….

UPDATE ON HUBBY (DAVE): Spot is small 1.5 cm in upper r. lobe. It reallly “lit up” thus they want to go right in and cut it out surgically BUT…….DAVE has COPD and is on Oxygen already – not sure if he is a candidate for surgery……test his breathing next mon. & get ok from Heart Doc. If those = ok = surgery asap. If not………Plan B = Radiation probably. Will have to be followed forever.
We feel relieved compared to what we COULD have heard. NO lymph nodes “lit up” and its small = not a fast spreading Ca. PRAISE JESUS! PRAISE JESUS! Don’t stop praying because Monday we find out if he has surg or not. PLEASE keep praying! THANK ALL OF YOU FOR PRAYERS AND GOOD THOUGHTS …..YOU ARE ALL SO KIND!
How worn out I am just from a doctors visit because of the nature of the visit…….but our church brought supper a + enough for tomorrow!!!!!!!!! and Banana Pudding,
If anyone has more questions just email me………….soooooooo tired.
In God’s Hands,
Arlene

Arlene, Your blog is designed so pretty. This is a nice change from all of the other junk online.
I love the purpose of it. I hope you will have more people use it. There are so very many
people who need prayer, I am surprised it is
not packed full of requests.
I for one will spread the word. It is nice knowing you since a child and knowing you have always had that heart for Jesus and especially a heart for praying for other people. Don’t you think that us going to G.A.’s in church fostered that in you?
Anyway it is definitely a call on your life by God.

We don’t have one yet! Sorrry.
He went to doc today to get the verdict but only got sent for one more test with the Pulmonary doctor. Supposed to call Friday and find out.
Believe me……..I am not too patient!!!!
By: Bali on May 7, 2009
at 1:05 am
The surgeon called Dave Friday morning to tell him that after even additional extensive pulmonary function tests, it was determined that
Dave is not able to undergo surgery to remove what they believe to be a cancerous spot on his right upper lung. It is because of the severity of
the COPD he has.
We had hoped they could do surgery as it is the most thorough and better outcome. Dr. Stephenson (surgern) will meet with the Radiologist Wed.
to discuss the procedures they will use to destroy this spot on his lung.
It is expected they will begin Radiation treatment. This is a hard thing to
deal with as we know it for it requires daily treatments for 6 + weeks. But that is on what we read about. We won’t know the exact plans until we meet with the doctors again on Wed.
It is very stressful to go from week to week to get just another meeting scheduled or another test. Dave wants to agressively attack this and move on.
There has not been a biopsy so I refuse to call this lung cancer. This is what the doctors say because the PET SCAN lit up on the spot indicating cancer.
I will believe the report of the Lord and ask you to join me in this. Continue to pray of course. I ask too for a repeat xray at the least, so they will see God has removed the spot for them………….
Surely God is my salvation; I will TRUST and not be afraid.
The Lord is my STRENGTH and my SONG; He has become my
SALVATION. Isaiah 12:2

After meeting with the Radiologist, Dave was informed that they will do a needle biopsy and
also place a “placer” in the spot so that if they
continue to do the radiation treatments as
supposed, it will guide them to be more accurate.
PLEASE HANG ON WITH US…..THEY DO NOT HAVE A BIOPSY YET AND THE SPOT CAN
STILL VANISH UNDER THE HAND OF JESUS!
THAT IS OUR PRAYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Remember I fell and hurt my r knee when my son was here? I am still dealing with that injury when the dear”darling KEIKO” got a bit jealous of a treat I was taking out to th other chow and tried to run through my legs……it is almost funny but our legs got tangled and I ended p on that same bad knee.
With massive prayer, heart felt cries and pain,
and the tips from everybody. I got to church!!!!!
God did that. Thennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnafter I got home my whole body fell apart. I am down with the back and sides of my neck causes I have rupt discs anyway and guess I ah another whipelash somehouse when I hit the floor. There are a lot of things I did nto kno whappened to me tht are servicing but I got to the ortho clinic tomorrow and we will see.
RIGHT NOW THE EMPHASIS IS ON DAVE MY MAN! HE HAS BEEN ANOINTED WITH OIL MORE THAN WE CAN COUNT AND PRAYED OVER SO OFTEN……….SO AM EXPECTED THEM NOT TO FIND ANY CANCER AND PERHAPS NOT EVEN A SPOT AT ALL!!!!!!!!! ptl

just wanted to say that Facebook has some good things about it. Since joining……it has taken awhile but I have been able to communicate with my family who are scatter across the south……in a much better way. My neices and nephews are all grown and married and some have their own families too now and I am even able to talk to my great neice…….someone I have never gotten to know. They spent the night in our home in FL several years ago but she was really little then.
Since then they had another child who is up there now.
So I am just so thrilled because those that won’t email, willl get on FB and communicate because we are all there in one place and it is so much easier.

hi Bali,
I was wondering if you can archive part of this years worth of chat. Or can you make 2 pages.
I know you were telling me wordpress is not that easy to change. They have there own software and you have to use it their way. You can PAY afor another program to use as you wish. You said I am okay with this FREE version as long as it works.
You alsocan archive these to end in June however to make it a 1/2 year. You could archive every 3 months if we ever get that busy,,,
not meant to be nosy or bossy but expressing what some others have said too.
BTW we do LOVE TO have a place to come to leave messages knowing others are praying.
Thanks and now.
I am praying for your dental work to settle down.
I also pray the permanent crown will not cause any trouble. I pray Bali also for your total health.
Knowing you so well, I know many do not really understand how much you do have to deal with on a daily basis. Count on me for prayers though because BELIEVE YOU ME I FOR ONE KNOW about these things.
Also, I have been reading up on dave and it seems like finally, although not really noticeable
he has come around and made a turn for the better. I think he has had to deal with the emotional issues of all of these conditons as they
slipped up on him but in time he will surprise you at how much recovery he will actually have.
Praise God for the prayers.

I know I need to update the prayer requests page but I confess that I am just exhausted every night when I sit down to get on here.
I am going through everything in my house, sorting, tossing, giving away and putting away.
I am also packing away a lot of things we can do without for now as we rented a storage unit.
The result is absolute exhaustion. I have fibromyalgia which includes extreme fatigue anyway. So pray I can get it togother. Just too much happening this year for me. I hang onto Jesus who is my Master!

I rejoice with you that the Lord is ever faithful and is bringing you and Dave through all your very difficult trials especially this year! today someone shared
Lamentations 3:23-33 (New International Version)
23 They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
24 I say to myself, “The LORD is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him.”
25 The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him,
to the one who seeks him;
26 it is good to wait quietly
for the salvation of the LORD.
27 It is good for a man to bear the yoke
while he is young.
28 Let him sit alone in silence,
for the LORD has laid it on him.
29 Let him bury his face in the dust—
there may yet be hope.
30 Let him offer his cheek to one who would strike him,
and let him be filled with disgrace.
31 For men are not cast off
by the Lord forever.
32 Though he brings grief, he will show compassion,
so great is his unfailing love.
33 For he does not willingly bring affliction
or grief to the children of men.

Just wanted to take a minute to say thank you for your words of encouragement. I think we all just need to hear those positive words from each other from time to time…reassurances that God IS in control, as always. Sometimes we just need to sit patiently and KNOW that He is at work, no matter how much we can’t see it, He is on the case!
God Bless you & your family. Praise be to God.
